It was a standout weekend for us at Audio Show Deluxe, with a constant flow of visitors stepping in to listen, explore, and experience what’s possible when sound is treated with real intent.
After time spent in our demonstration cars, guests were handed a copy of Driving Sounds XIII. This was a way to take a part of that experience with them. It was met with genuine excitement, giving people something they could return to, revisit, and relive long after they stepped away.
What felt most significant, though, was the level of interest. More and more people are beginning to realise they don’t have to settle for poor in-car audio. There is something out there capable of completely reshaping how they connect with their music.
And throughout it all, music remained at the centre. New tracks discovered, favourites shared, and moments where a song took on a completely different meaning.
The Riverboat Song by Ocean Colour Scene was a favourite among staff and visitors. If you have ever listened to the song, it is the electric guitar that your ears would usually focus on. However, this song has a lot more going on.
Our ears were focused on the beautiful separation between the organ, the drums and the bass guitar. It is these instruments that lay the thick foundation and "swing" of the song. At 4:29, the outro has reached its peak and the previously mentioned instruments all compete for space, with Lauren describing her experience of the outro as "wading through a dense jungle."
This weekend was truly enjoyable for us. Thank you to those who had a demonstration or said hi and we look forward to seeing you at the next show.
