The heat is on!

Cold Day in July

Hello and welcome to Driving Sounds Club members new and old. Phew it's been hot! We are reasonably well recovered from the exertions of Goodwood Festival of Speed and have a brief report of our time there below. We also look at a very tidy Nissan 350Z which we had the immense pleasure of shooting this month. As for our track of the month, you must have noticed that there are currently a lot of fine close harmony girl groups with a country lilt such as First Aid Kit, The Staves etc. emerging. The Dixie Chicks are one of the first close harmony girl groups I came across (apart from The Andrews Sisters who are still the biggest selling female harmony group ever to have lived! - Thanks quizmeister Dave). The DC's began way back in 1989 and still send shivers down my spine. Coincidentally, they wrote a song with July in the title - See how it works? - Have a listen to it in your car and see if it does it for you. if not, it may be time to head on to your local FOUR MASTER? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=35stMzc28Go

Nice One Nissan

A beautiful day at Wortley Hall in Yorkshire, great company and a very shiny car with great system installed. What better way to earn a living?

This car will appear in full in the forthcoming issue of Driving Sounds Magazine - here is a mere taste of what is to come!

Top Tunes

As is traditional with Top Tunes, we are going with Stephen's top five. We endeavour to be as inclusive as possible and if you ever feel like treating club members to five tracks that you currently enjoy listening to in your car then ping me on: editorial@drivingsounds.co.uk and we will share it with the rest of the club. You can include images of your car a description of the system too or simply send it anonymously. This one's from Stephen:
In for the kill - La roux
I can’t stop - Flux pavilion
The only way is up - Tïesto & Martin Garrix
Stay for it - RL grime ft Miguel
Sail - Awolnation

Is Your Car Audio System Upmixed Or Just Mixed Up?

This month we look at "Upmixing" and discuss both attributes and possible shortcomings. This is not a technical piece, simply a discussion provoker. Sometimes it is better to speak with your local car audio specialist rather than your car dealer about such things!

Audison Prima

A Brand For All Beemers?
Following our triumphant return to Goodwood Festival of Speed a couple of weeks ago, we were once again moved to celebrate Audison Prima BMW upgrades. These products sound truly astonishing and had many BMW owners literally drooling at the prospect of getting the Prima treatment for their own cars!
Clarity, great staging, dynamic and the perfect antidote to horrible factory fit sound. Have a look at the range here:

Goodwood 2018

This year's Goodwood Festival Of Speed took place from 12th to 15th July. Once again we were there looking an absolute picture of professionalism. Every year, the layout of the trade area is changed. In previous years despite having had to choose a new spot, we have managed to get a pitch with a lot of passing trade. The show is huge and not many are together enough to seek out a stand they fancy looking at from the £18 programme! We therefore, rely on passing traffic to keep us busy. Unfortunately, this year the new organisers created some blind alleys. We were situated in one of these and so for the first time, our stand was not completely rammed! Despite this, the people who did find us were extremely positive about what we do, particularly after a demonstration. Many were happy to book their car in with a FOUR MASTER straight away and with three FOUR MASTER's on the stand, we were able to help them to capitalise on the excitement the cars generated. The enthusiasm of the general public drives us on for the next year and this was still very much the case despite the huge reduction in numbers.
We look forward to hearing from anyone who got a demonstration with their thoughts on what they experienced. Please do get in touch! editorial@drivingsounds.co.uk

Until Next month, do take care.
