It's Good To Be Back

Welcome back all car audio fans and loyal Driving Sounds Club Members. A brand new season of music in the car to look forward to.
I drove my own car for the first time in a while yesterday (it's a long story). This allowed me to be wowed once more by just how good a simple Audison Prima system can sound. I had great fun listening to tracks I remembered from the early days of Driving Sounds Club and even found myself sitting outside my house waiting for a full three minutes for a track to finish (Porcupine Tree, Sound of Muzak).

This month we travel back to the dawn of time and reassess what makes sound great and what the poor, hapless music lover can do to their vehicles to improve the entertainments system. In most standard cars, this can be as simple as switching it off! but that is perhaps overly simplistic and we want people to listen more in their cars not less. Read on for some options!
This month's hidden track is from the fresh Metronomy release "Small World" - Apart from celebrating our return from a winter hiatus, this track should render with perfect clarity and have your feet tapping!:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lLr2-egv-Bo

Starting From Scratch

This little potted guide to the origin of sound is a good scene setter for those struggling to understand what is important and why.
