Another Winner

Another information packed issue of the Driving Sounds Club newsletter for you. We are pleased to announce the winner of our November Hertz system competition. The lucky winner is BMW 1-series owner, Karen Bradfern who met us at CarFest South. When we told her, Karen said; "Wow, I am so excited. I was astounded when I did the AB test in the summer and have been growing increasingly dissatisfied with the sound in my car ever since. Thank you so much Driving Sounds!"
Thank you for entering everyone and for sticking with the Driving Sounds Club. Watch out for more exciting offers in future issues of this newsletter. Read on to see this month's "Tecchie Bit" which this month, looks at power consumption and its implications. We have a Top 5 from Stuart Crombie of FOUR MASTER Accutek as well as a "Sneaky Peek" at an article we are preparing on his fabulous VW T25 Transporter. We also have an exciting announcement regarding a brand new website!

Issue 4

This Month's exclusive club members only sneaky peek is the remarkable T25 pictured above. Not too much detail as yet, but it should work up to a fantastic feature for all you lovers of the People's Wagon brand. I have seen this vehicle, it is a true work of art!

New Driving Sounds Website

Exciting things are happening at Driving Sounds central where the bit bunnies and colouring department are currently putting final touches to a brand new website for Driving Sounds. The new site will offer visitors the chance to purchase individual articles as PDF downloads or the whole printed magazine in paper form. We will also offer articles from previous issues for free download. We have an area just for club members where you will be able to benefit from exclusive glimpses of articles including video footage which either don't make the printed version of the magazine or are just used to demonstrate techniques and good practice. We will ping you a quick note on launch day which we expect to be either at the end of November or the very beginning of December.

Driving Sounds for Christmas

As we approach the festive season, I guess you are considering the selection of suitable gifts for your loved ones but at least, you can offer them an idea for your own pressie without too much thought! I know an entire audio upgrade seems like a huge investment to most of us, but it needn't be really. You could begin with simply having a pair of decent speakers fitted. Try my favourite mid-priced components, Hertz ESK 165L's for £169.99. You will notice a huge improvement but also be able to look forward to your birthday when you can add an amplifier and then next Christmas when you can complete your system by adding some bass reinforcement. If you love music, it is well worth the investment and the wait.
I am off to listen to Jonathan Wilson's Fanfare album in my car now - I don't have to go anywhere, but my car system is much better than the one I have in the house and I know I will be warm and undisturbed!

Speak next month.
