This month you get a first sneeky-peek of a Driving Sounds Magazine issue V article. We look at "stereo image" as a concept and present you with a postage free offer for Driving Sounds Magazine issue IV!

Phew What A Scorcher!

Welcome one and all to the July edition of Driving Sounds Club News. Once again we bring you a round-up of what's hot in the world of aftermarket car audio. This month we have been mainly meeting friends old and new at Goodwood Festival of Speed and a truly fab time was had by all.
We demonstrated one of our BMW 1-series with fresh upgrades courtesy of the amazing new Audison Prima 8.9 amplifier (Read all about it below!) We also had FOUR MASTER founder, Brian Parton's, superb Porsche 911 (964) with a banging raw rock system in it which caused a huge amount of interest. We were amazed at the sheer number of visitors who had no idea that such sounds could be squeezed into a car and we look forward to speaking with them some more over the next month or so!

Sneeky-Peek

This is your first opportunity to look at embryonic materials which will grow into articles to be featured in Issue V of Driving Sounds Magazine - And the ink is barely dry on Issue IV!
This first article is all about Audison PRIMA a Plug and Play amplifier and signal processor combination which can squeeze true musical sounds out of factory fitted systems - I know, we didn't think it was possible either!
Read my first impressions following a convincing demonstration in a mate's BMW 5-series right here!

Top Tunes

This month we finally get around to printing a Top Five from the mighty team at Source Sounds in Sheffield. Regular readers will remember the name as they are one of the best and most prolific FOUR MASTERS in the UK and I was interested to find out what tracks they use to set up cars or just loon around the workshop to! This is their joint effort:
Martin Garrix - Animals
Lady GaGa - Venus
Knife Party - Centipede
Sub Focus - Turn back time
Tyga - Rack City
A high-energy selection I am sure you will agree - watch out for the profanity however boys!!

Image Is Everything

Stereo image, sound stage and other phrases used to describe the placement of instruments in a stereo sound field. We hear the terms we even use them but, what are they and why are they important?  (

Awesome Tunes

As I head of for my summer holidays, I would like to draw your attention to an awesome recording I have just come across. I have been monitoring this guy since I first heard a track on 6 Music last winter. The track has just become available on CD and I would advise anyone with ears to buy it. Some of the sounds are completely new to me and I find it absolutely spell-binding. Please do not make a decision on this by listening through your laptop speakers as it needs to be heard on a great sounding system for full impact. Listen to my favourite track here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AslPYSm7jfg
